Keppet Support
How to get help with Keppet
Email [email protected]. Say which sign-in provider and username you use, which version of the app you have, and what happened.
What to include
- Your sign-in provider (GitHub, GitLab, Codeberg, Google, Microsoft or a self-hosted server) and your username.
- The app version. It is in Settings, in the About section.
- Where you use Keppet: the website or the Android app, and the phone or browser.
- What you did, what you expected and what happened instead.
- The time it happened, and a screenshot if one helps.
Do not send a password, an access token or a card number.
Report a bug from the app
In the app, open Settings and choose Report a bug or Suggest an idea. The signed-out landing screen and the sign-in screen have a Report a bug link as well, so you can send a report without signing in.
You write a message and can add a contact detail and up to four screenshots. The contact detail is optional.
What a bug report sends
The app adds these technical details to your message:
- the app version and the platform (web or Android)
- your sign-in provider and username
- the page you were on, your screen size, and a description of your device and browser
- the number of accounts, categories, transactions and budgets you have
- the kind of space you are in and how many spaces you have, never a space's name
- your sync status, the last sync time and the sync error, if there is one
- the data format version, whether the device is online, and the time zone offset
- up to 25 recent error messages, each cut to 300 characters
- the time the report was sent
The app does not attach payees, amounts or notes. What you type and any screenshot you attach are sent as you wrote or captured them, so leave out anything you do not want us to see.
Keppet's server adds a one-way hash of your provider and username to the report. The report is filed as an issue in a private GitHub repository. Screenshots are stored on Keppet's servers, and anyone who has a screenshot's web address can open it without signing in.
Billing and subscriptions
On the website, payment is handled by Stripe. Open Settings and choose Manage under your subscription to change or cancel it in the Stripe billing portal. Refunds for website purchases are handled through Stripe.
For an Android purchase, change or cancel in your Google Play subscriptions. Google Play handles refunds for those purchases.
